Guaranteed Sound Power
|
Overview
|
The EU Directive 2000/14/EC harmonises the laws of the Member States relating to noise emission standards. Manufacturers must indicate the guaranteed sound power level to the equipment.
ISO 4871 gives guidelines for deriving noise emission values for declaration purposes, and
ISO 7574 gives statistical methods for such determination. GSP is based upon these basic International Standards.
This module allows you to determine the probability of acceptance from the stated noise emission value, standard deviations and number of batches. If the probability of acceptance is higher than 95%, then consumers and users are guaranteeing that the product will not exceed the stated noise emission level.
